For All You Typographic Fundis

Have a look into information design when you get the chance. I've never really taken the time to explore it at all until now, but one thing i can say is these guys definitely know how to organize their typography well. Here are some examples by various designers. I shall List their names above each work...

Not sure who this is, found it on vizualize.tumblr.com

Not sure who this is either, but here's the site I found it on

Pretty awesome stuff hey. Think I shall be taking a leaf out these designers' books with regards to layout.

Check Out This Illustator

Here are the illustartions by a female designer from Japan who goes by the name Zain7 (that's her alias).

Her style borrows heavily from Japanese manga styles, which she has twisted her own take on the art form. i like the way she brings in texture which is not common in manga. Really love her super realistic way of drawing (realistic being in the way she can capture her subject matter within the boundaries of her own style in such a way that it still reflects everyday life and proportion).

Refreshingly different

Here's a designer/illustrator by the name of Penelope Dullaghan, whom i just discovered. She has an awesome "feel good" kind of style. Here's some of her stuff...

It's definitely a very sweet, innocent and girly kind of design aesthetic, but it leaves you feeling good, is pleasant on the eyes, and what really gets me going is the vibrant use of texture, different inks, papers, media and colours. Well done Peneolpe! Oh, and here's a link to her personal site www.penelopeillustration.com
